Oregon Attractions to Check Out

There are currently two amusement parks in Oregon that have long been fixtures on the Portland OR population. The two parks, Cedar Point Amusement Park and Big Wolf Trail Park, have been open to visitors and locals for decades. Both offer visitors and locals a chance to indulge in entertainment by way of rides, roller coasters, waterslides, balloon rides and camping. Notable among their many amenities is the Petting Zoo, where animals from around the world are housed. Other popular features include the Wild West Show, featuring a variety of western shows, the Pay-Per-View Video Game Viewing Lounge, the Gondola Theme Park, a stage for musical performances, and the Wild Water Wilderness Training Center, where visitors can learn about swimming, mountain biking, and other adventure sports.

The second amusement park in Oregon: to come to Oregon since the mid 90’s is located at Emerald Mountain Amusement Park. The park has moved west from its original site in Grantsburg, Oregon. While many of its rides and other amenities remain the same as those offered at Cedar Point Amusement Park, there are several new additions that offer something a little different, especially for travelers who prefer a bit more excitement. The park features three roller skating rinks, two free-flying airplanes, and even a giant dirt bike course! The free-flying airplane attraction allows guests to take off and go as high as 100 feet into the air.

Of the two amusement parks in Oregon: that are the opposite of the Cedar Point Amusement Park, the second place to give tourists in Oregon a reason to visit is the Ketchum amusement park. Situated about two hours from Portland, Ketchum offers visitors and locals alike a chance to take a break from the hectic nature of the state. Notable among its rides and amenities is its Tramway Suspension Bridge, which is the first suspension bridge in the United States. Another attraction that’s not to be missed is the Wild Water Rafting, which gives skaters a chance to experience a rafting trip through one of the many rivers in the area.
